US Positioning Group Chooses Blue Marble Technology for Coordinate Conversion within their GPS Precise Positioning Software!

Gardiner, ME – Blue Marble Geographics (www.bluemarblegeo.com) is pleased to announce recent licensing arrangements that provide use of their GeoCalc software development kit within US Positioning Group software. Rhino Post-Processor PLUS is precise positioning software, developed by US Positioning Group based out of Mesa, Arizona.

US Positioning chose Blue Marble’s GeoCalc SDK because of its excellent industry reputation for being both, extremely functional and comprehensive, offering a vast number of coordinate systems, datums and projections. GeoCalc is known as the industry standard for coordinate conversion and US Positioning’s Vice President Steve L. Feeley confirms that, “When I tell customers that we license GeoCalc from Blue Marble Geographics, they start nodding their heads in recognition of the good name and in approval of the choice we made.” Feeley goes on to say that GeoCalc is especially useful with their software when a user sets up a reference station (control) of a known location that uses an uncommon coordinate system or datum.

GeoCalc is a universally accepted name and GIS industry standard for coordinate conversion and contains well over 130 pre-defined ellipsoids, 630 datum transformations and over 30 projections. Blue Marble has been in business for over ten years expanding and refining their GeoCalc libraries, their customer base is world wide and includes many household names. Blue Marble is pleased to add US Positioning to that list.
