Blue Marble offers Training for Geographic Transformer and Calculator!

Gardiner, ME — Blue Marble Geographics ( is pleased to announce a new service for their customers. In response to customer inquiry, Blue Marble will be offering local training courses nationwide beginning this spring.

Both the Geographic Transformer and the Geographic Calculator had major version releases in late 2003 and Blue Marble has seen an increase in customer interest for specific training courses. Training seminars for both products will soon be available in different major metropolitan areas based on demand.

The Geographic Transformer is a leading raster image reprojection tool. This course will cover the details of image referencing, reprojection, tiling and mosaicking as well as the new batch method available in v5.0. Blue Marble experts will train users on these techniques as well as the details of working with digital maps and data. The Geographic Calculator is the world standard in coordinate conversion. This training will focus not only on coordinate conversion and other capabilities of the tool, but will also include a primer on geodesy, coordinate systems, and projections.

“Our customers have always expressed an interest in training, but we have only recently added the staff to accommodate on-site training, stated Blue Marble President, Patrick Cunningham. “We are excited by the opportunity to meet with our customers face-to-face while bringing them the additional service they need.”
