2D/3D Selection

When at least four satellites are in view of the antenna, the GPS receiver can report your position in three dimensions (3D): latitude, longitude, and altitude. When only three satellites are in view, the GPS receiver can only determine a position in two dimensions, latitude and longitude, and uses the last altitude recorded.
