More:
You can specify where the coordinate conversion parameter database is located. You should share a single parameter database if you are using multiple Blue Marble applications, otherwise changes/additions won't be recognized in other applications.
The read-only property of your coordinate conversion parameter database can be set here, this must be turned off in order to make any changes to it.
The display progress interval can be selected for use in point database load/save/print/convert status updates.
You can specify whether the toolbar and pop-up hints are displayed.
Oftentimes when selecting a coordinate system you don't want to change the coordinate conversion database. You can specify whether editing of coordinate systems when selecting a coordinate system is allowed.
You can specify whether to use Geodetic or Rhumb Line calculations when doing forward and inverse calculations.
The Folders page is used to specify the directory where text file schemes AND vertical Grid Shift files are stored.
When you define your own text file format the file definition information is stored in a scheme file (.TSC). This file is read when a custom text file is converted. This folder will contain all of the text file scheme definition files.
The Point Databases tab allows users to specify whether an entire database is read into the Geographic Calculator or only a specific number of records.
You can specify if you want to always use the first row of an excel file as the header, never use the first rom of an excel file as the header, or ask to use the first row of an excel file as the header.
You can select if you wish to save Excel files as with text only which is compatible with Geographic Calculator and the best choice if you are not going to be doing any hand editing of the file in Excel or with text and numeric values which is the best choice if you want to be able to apply calculations on the saved values in Excel (you must open these files in Excel and save them again before Geographic Calculator will read them).
You can pick whether to automatically display an error plot after computing best-fit.
The Geographic Calculator allows you to convert AutoCAD DXF and DWG drawing files. You can specify the AutoCAD release for the created files.
