How do I delineate watershed boundaries from an elevation model?

    There is a specific Watershed tool in Global Mapper. With a terrain surface loaded in, you can select Generate Watershed from the Terrain Analysis menu. With options for depression filling and minimum stream threshold, you can either take the defaults, or fine tune the calculation for your precise need. This tool creates two new layers; one indicating the watershed areas that flow together, and another indicating the predicted stream lines with flow information as associated attributes.
