The 2016 Blue Marble User Conference (BMUC) Road Show makes its final stop in Pittsburgh, PA on October 25th. As with the previous BMUC events in Houston, Calgary, San Francisco, and Boston, the Pittsburgh conference promises a day filled with informative presentations, user experiences, and networking opportunities.
Pittsburgh attendees will have an opportunity to see the recently released update to Global Mapper in action. Version 18 offers a redesigned interface with new toolbars, streamlined layer management, and powerful new 3D visualization functionality. Blue Marble applications specialists will also introduce some of the recent innovations in Geographic Calculator and will provide insight into future product plans.
Returning to the BMUC podium for the Pittsburgh event are Tracy McLane, GIS Manager at Bechtel Infrastructure and Ron Chapple, CEO of GEO1, the Aerial Survey Division of Aerial Filmworks. Tracy's presentation focuses on the development of a vertical adjustment model for shifting LiDAR ellipsoidal heights to local geoid height and Ron shares his experience using Global Mapper, including a custom video extension, for aerial surveying.
As always, BMUC will also provide an opportunity for current Blue Marble customers and users to provide feedback and suggestions about the company's products. In the past, these conversations have played an instrumental role in steering the development of Global Mapper and Geographic Calculator.
Registration is now open and space is limited.
