The Path Profile tool in Global Mapper allows users to view the elevation profile (a.k.a. a topographic cut or cross-section) of loaded terrain data. This perspective offers a better understanding of slope changes and the 3D model as seen in these stream examples. This view, along with a series of cross profiles can be saved and exported as vector features.
