System Requirements

 

Minimum System Requirements:

• Operating System: Current version of iOS supported by Apple (Apple Security Updates)

• Minimum Storage: 150MB, plus any space required for map data

 

Recommended System Specifications:

• Recommended Storage: 5GB

• Recommended Memory: 4GB

• Built-in Lidar Sensor (required for Lidar collection)

  (Devices that support lidar scanning include iPhone 12 Pro and later, iPad Pro 2020 and later)

 

Additional Recommendations

• Host machine (Windows desktop, laptop, etc)
• Licensed version of Global Mapper installed on that machine. We will refer to this as “Global Mapper desktop” in this document.

When transferring files from a connected Apple host machine, keep in mind that data files cannot be copied to arbitrary locations in your iOS device file system. They must be associated with a particular application, and will only be accessible by that application. Use finder to copy your map data to the Global Mapper Mobile application. Other file transfer applications are available, however, we recommend finder.
