Lambert Near Conformal Conic

The Lambert Near Conformal Conic projection is a variation of the Lambert Conformal Conic (1 Parallel) projection, in which the series expansion was truncated to the third order, such that the projection is not fully conformal.

Coordinate systems based on this projection were used historically in France (1915-1948), Morocco (1915-1953), Algeria (1915-1943), Tunisia (1915-1943) and Syria (1915-1973).

The "Lambert Near Conformal Conic" projection has the following parameters:

  • False Northing
  • False Easting
  • Longitude of the Center of the Projection
  • Latitude of the Origin of the Projection
  • Scale Factor at the Center of the Projection
