Coordinate Point Definition
Enter the coordinates for a point to be converted into coordinate
fields on the input side of the Geographic Calculator. For Inverse Calculations you must enter a coordinate on the output side as well.
The particular values to be entered depend on the coordinate system you
have specified for that side.
You should enter the coordinate values in the units of measure that are indicated by the Coordinate System you have selected. If you have selected a Vertical model for your coordinate system, you will also see a third field for Elevation.
Copy/ Cut / Paste Point — At any time, you may copy, cut or paste a point from the Interactive Conversions tab.
Get Antipode — This will calculate the point on the opposite side of the earth, and display it in a pop-up dialog. The value will be a latitude-longitude value in degrees on the same datum as the coordinate system of the point.
Open in Google Earth — The specified coordinate will be opened as a kml file in Google Earth. Google Earth must be installed on the machine for this to work.
Save As — The coordinate will be exported to a shapefile format.
Clear Point — At any time, you may clear a point from the Interactive Conversions tab textbox by right-clicking over the point and selecting Clear Point.
