Using a Dongle License

The dongle is a small USB hardware key that you can plug into any PC. The portable design allows you to move your Geographic Calculator licenses between machines without network connections, or additional license files.

How to Connect a Dongle

First, you will need to install the drivers for the hardware dongle system. Depending on your system configuration, the Setninel HASP drivers may be automatically installed when you plug the dongle in.

If not, the installer for the USB hardware lock is available for download on the Blue Marble website: https://www.bluemarblegeo.com/downloads/licensing/HASP_Drivers.zip.

or in the Program Files directory:
C:\Program Files\Blue Marble Geo\Geographic Calculator\Hasp Drivers.zip

The Sentinel Hasp driver install file is named Sentinel System Driver Installer 7.5.8.exe. The HASP installation will walk you through all required configuration of the hardware drivers. We recommend that you select the default setting for installation. After you have completed the hardware driver setup, you can plug in your USB dongle and start up the Geographic Calculator. You will notice that the license manager displays your license status as "DONGLE" for any licenses you have available on the hardware USB key.

The USB key will need to remain plugged in the entire time you are using the application.
