The release of version 19.1 of Global Mapper once again provides an opportunity for us to share the latest developments in a live, interactive webinar. Raster imagery often becomes the base of any mapping project simply because it is the clearest picture we have on a map. If that imagery is in the wrong location, that inaccuracy cascades into digitized vectors, all the way through a decision making process. The solution is to place the data in the correct location the first time, this session will cover just that. Geographic Calculator has a powerful georeferencing tool that allows for precise placement of control marks and takes advantage of high order polynomial transformations to suit everything from a small scale scan of localized area out to large scale continent views.
