Overview

The Geographic Transformer allows the user to integrate images of adjacent areas into a single (composite) image using the Mosaic function. This may be desirable when an area of interest straddles a boundary area between many maps. In order to create a mosaic you need:

NOTE: The input image maps must share a common coordinate system, pixel resolution, number of colors, and have equivalent color palettes in order to be mosaicked. The mosaicking results will be highly unpredictable if any of these variables are not equivalent.

This feature allows the seamless integration of image maps found in multiple files into a composite image map encompassing the entire area in one file. The mosaic process creates a composite image map (one image file) from 2 or more individual image files. A reference file must exist for each input map to be mosaicked. The reference file is used to determine input image map extent and the resultant composite image map extent.
