Overview
The process of tiling takes an image and divides it up into a number of smaller, uniform images. During the tiling process, the images are divided into sections (i.e. tiles). The number and size of the tiles that are produced depends on the tiling scheme and the user selected parameters for those schemes. Each of these sections is automatically named and assigned a corresponding referencing file. The Geographic Transformer allows the user to select from four different types of tiling schemes:
