Adding a
Best Fit Coordinate system to Geocalc.dat
The Best Fit
coordinate system will be added to the Geocalc.dat in the same manner
that any custom coordinate system is added. First click Coordinate
Systems definition in the Options
file menu. This will display the Coordinate
Systems Definition dialog. If you do not already have a custom coordinate
system group, you can create a new one using the New
Group button. Use the New
System button to add you custom coordinate system. The Datum should be
set to the Datum used in the .csr file. If the .csr file was created using
the Geographic Calculator, this should be set to WGS84. The Linear Units
should be set to the units used in the Local Coordinate system. The Projection
should be set to RSF Polynomial. When the Projection is selected, two
fields should appear at the bottom of the dialog, CSR File, and Local
Units. The Local Units should also be set to the uniots used in the Local
Coordinate System. Click on the file open button (...) and browse to the
location of your .csr file. Once these fields are filled, click on the
Save
button to update the Geocalc.dat file.
