Reseller Account Manager

Job Description

This position is responsible for managing the Blue Marble Geographics international reseller and partner network. The primary focus of this position is generating and increasing quarterly and yearly sales from resellers to the benefit of Blue Marble's revenue growth and targets. The reseller account manager is responsible for identifying, developing, and expanding relationships with distributors, resellers, and end users. This position is also responsible for identifying, developing and expanding the sales leads and wins of those resellers.

  • Reports to Vice President of Sales
  • Builds productive and profitable working relationships with resellers worldwide
  • Manages a quarterly and yearly sales opportunity pipeline of reseller sales
  • Grows and expands this pipeline based on company targets as set by management
  • Creates, monitor, review and execute quarterly business plans with assigned resellers
  • Work with resellers to improve their business performance in all relevant dimensions (e.g., sales performance, product expertise, marketing programs, support capabilities)
  • Manage channel conflicts
  • Establish and direct partner engagement
    • identify and maintain relationships with key personnel
    • drive adoption of channel initiatives and programs
    • proactively assess partner needs on an ongoing basis.
    • making sure that channel partners sign proper contracts/agreements
  • Develop enablement and onboarding processes to train partners on how to effectively sell.
  • Meet and exceed assigned targets for both revenue and strategic objectives in assigned partner accounts.
  • Provide accurate forecasting based on reseller pipeline
  • Monitor and dispense pricing policies
  • Develop ability to demo software to teach resellers basics of selling software
  • Identify and recruit new partners based on fit (coverage and capabilities).
  • Generate additional demand through partner events
  • Support the maintenance of channel portal.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to work with partners at all levels, from sales representatives to management, to achieve desired sales results.
  • Proven sales success and knowledge of sales process.
  • Continually learn about products and improve selling skills.
    • attend training events throughout the year
    • participate in self-paced tutorial learning when appropriate.
  • Demonstrate industry knowledge.
  • Ability to travel as needed

General Requirements

Candidate must have good communications skills, be a genuine people person, must have GIS business-to-business sales and marketing experience and must be comfortable with Windows based computer technology & demonstrated skill using Microsoft Office and all appropriate business software. Passport required.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree required.
